Cyprus Flag Administration participates in the exhibition "Seatrade Maritime Middle East 2016"

Cyprus is a leading international maritime centre and one of the largest ship registries worldwide. The Cyprus Maritime Administration is responsible for the registration of ships, enforcement of merchant shipping legislation, control of ships and enforcement of international conventions, registration and certification of seafarers and administration of tonnage tax system.

The Cyprus Department of Merchant Shipping (DMS), will participate for the second time around in the Seatrade Maritime Middle East Exhibition. Delegation of the Department will provide information to visitors interested in registering ships under the Cyprus Flag. The Cypriot registry ranks 10th in the world and third in the EU, while Cyprus is considered as one of the biggest ship management centres globally.

The International Maritime Exhibition "Seatrade Maritime Middle East" is organised for the 8th time and has established itself as the leading maritime exhibition in the Middle East. It includes around 400 exhibitors and it is expected that more than 7,000 visitors from around the world will attend. The exhibition will take place in Dubai from 31 October to 2 November 2016.
