It is a brilliant idea that containers could be modified in control factory environment (I.e shipyards).
In a multi-storey form on steel frame supported by steel piling could be ideal for areas like California & Cyprus or even Japan that are venerable to earth quakes.
PDC Maritime SA (pdcmaritime.com) that also specialise on Offshore Mobile Drilling Units will be pleased to participate to such project.
Concept is not new?
However, most of the cons can be overcome easily.
The snag is how large a unit do you wish to construct and how many people in say a single development?
