(www.MaritimeCyprus.com) Chrysalis LEAP, in the framework of the MISTRAL Project (Mediterranean Innovation STRAtegy for transnationaL activity of clusters and networks of the Blue Growth), organises a Blue Growth competition.
The «Blue Business Plan» competition aims to highlight and support innovative ideas in the fields of Maritime Renewable Energy, Maritime Surveillance, Fishing and Aquaculture, Blue Biotechnologies and Coastal and Maritime Tourism.
Academic spin-offs, Start-up companies, and aspiring entrepreneurs are invited to apply. The competition is open to teams and individuals form all the stages of the business circle, it can be an idea or an already established start-up, The deadline for the submission of the application is December 31st. Participation in the competition is free.
Once the applications are reviewed, the best ideas will be selected to participate in the first phase of the competition which includes a number of training sessions. The training will cover the initial assessment and development of a business idea, the development and validation of the business model, as well as cover the topic of Financial & Business Planning. The workshops will be delivered by expert trainers with several years of experience in these topics.
Chrysalis LEAP is in charge with the organisation of the competition in Cyprus. Chrysalis LEAP is the first accelerator in Cyprus, founded in 2012 and focuses in the areas of cleantech and sustainable development, and provides start up companies in this sector, with the necessary training and resources in order to help them transform into viable and profitable businesses.
