Vacancy: Software Scala Developer, Marlow Navigation, Limassol, Cyprus


Marlow Navigation is looking for a Scala Developer/Software Engineer that has the traits of a self-starter who is constantly challenging themselves to write better code, learn new technologies, and help colleagues grow.

We are looking for someone:

  1. Experienced in Scala
  2. experienced in building reactive systems
  3. with strong and demonstrable problem-solving ability
  4. comfortable with self-management and on-the-job learning
  5. curious and passionate about new technologies
  6. with the ability to teach and share knowledge to his/her peers.

Technically you should have:

  1. Experience with Akka, Play/Lagom Framework
  2. experience with building streaming applications
  3. experience with branching strategies in Git and as well as Continuous Integration/ Continuous Delivery practices
  4. working experience of container technologies (Docker) and micro-service architecture.

Bonus Requirements to Stand out

  1. Experience working with Elasticsearch
  2. experience working with Apache Kafka
  3. knowledge and experience on AWS
  4. experience in Scrum and agile methodologies
  5. experience with JIRA.
