Interorient Shipmanagement is looking to recruit highly motivated Technical Assistants to be based at our Head Office in Limassol, Cyprus. The successful candidates will be responsible for monitoring vessels’ technical condition and requirements. Following a period of outstanding performance, the candidates will have the opportunity to become Technical Superintendents. More specifically, the ideal candidates will be:
- Monitoring vessel reporting and performance
- Maintaining vessel records, certificates and classification surveys
- Providing backup to the Technical Superintendents
- Participating in the investigation of technical problems, accidents and incidents
- Assisting the Technical Superintendents with the preparation of various reports
Requirements
The ideal candidates should meet the following requirements:
- Proven experience as a seagoing Engineering Officer on tankers or bulk carriers
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Energetic, positive and good team player
- Ability to multitask, flexibility and high performance orientation
- High sense of initiative, professionalism and responsibility
- Flexibility to travel worldwide at short notice if required
- Excellent knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel etc)
- Excellent command of the written and spoken English language
