OVERALL PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Assist with the day to day operations of HSQE department and contribute effectively towards the HSEQ management system, whilst providing support to the business stakeholders as required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

ISO & QUALITY CONTROL REQUIREMENTS:

Assist in the maintenance of the management system as per the requirements defined in the Quality Assurance Manual, documented procedures/instructions, and the International Standards of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2015.

Assist in maintaining and improving the effectiveness of the quality system, including complain handling pertaining to food quality issues and service-related matters.

Responsible for the maintenance of non-conformity records, corrective and preventive actions to ensure that all incidents, unsafe acts/conditions and near misses are reported and investigated using root cause analysis. Actively support the prompt implementation of corrective actions and learning’s.

To be aware and up to date with new legislations whilst maintaining a working knowledge of all HSEQ legislation and developments that affect business.

Catering Superintendents, Supply & Environmental Management:
Coordinate Vessel Visits, Delivery Observations and Self-Inspections with the Catering Superintendents, Principals and Vessels. Ensure that the associate reporting is completed on time and action items are managed in a timely manner.

Assist in the development and implementation of environmental initiatives, including monitoring and review of set KPIs.

Assist in the enrolment of vessels into the recycling program.

Assist in the development and maintenance of waste management and other environmental initiatives.

Customer Engagement:
Continues engagement with vessels and principals.

Assist in the preparation of Customer Service Reviews.

Other Tasks:

To participate in training seminars organised by the company.

To cooperate with all stakeholders in a friendly and professional manner.

To take responsibility of any other appropriate responsibilities, as defined by HSEQ Management.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Essential:

Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.

Experience with Management Systems, including but not limited to operational procedures and manuals under ISO conditions and other international regulations.

Experience with food quality standards & specifications and HACCP procedures.

Strong inventory and waste management knowledge.

Good analytical skills.

Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office, including advanced excel & power point presentations.

A very good command of the English language both written and oral.

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communications skills.

The highest personal integrity standards and a positive outlook

Desirable:

Internal audit experience pertaining to ISO standards.

Experience with MLC regulations, suppliers & vessels audits.
