Safe Bulkers Management Ltd a well established shipping company based in Limassol, managing a fleet of modern bulk carriers, is looking for a Purchasing Officer that must be hard working, collaborative and result oriented.
Requirements
- One year experience in relevant position in shipping company is preferred.
- University degree in Shipping or Economics or Supply Chain Management.
- Diplomas MUST be awarded with distinction.
- Knowledge of Danaos software (i.e. Supply module) is preferred.
- Excellent command of English and computer literacy.
- Hard working person with desire to learn.
Duties
- Handling all inquiries of a fleet
- Planning delivery time tables
- Collecting supplier's offers
- Evaluating quotations
- Monitoring stock levels
- Overseeing the ordering and packaging process ready for dispatch
- Notifying vessels with scheduled delivery of stores / spare parts
- Cost controlling
