Bernhard Schulte (Cyprus) Ltd (the “Company”), is part of the Schulte Group (the “Group”), which is a worldwide, leading family owned, ship owning and ship management group. Globally the Group owns 90 fully or partly owned vessels, provides ship management services and owns various companies which provide maritime related services (like port agency, ship chandlery, sea logistics, underwater repair and maintenance, hull cleaning technology development, NDT inspections, ERP solutions, etc.).
We are currently looking for a Post Fixture and Project Officer – Dry Bulk to join our existing team, who will be responsible for:
- Negotiate, issue and execute MOAs along with relevant preclosing meeting documentation
- Administer, issue review recaps, tc-party proforma, charter parties and other documentation
- Prepare and submit documentation for nomination purposes
- Organise pre-purchase inspections
- Liaise closely with our operations for pending or urgent matters
- Adjust clauses to make ends meet with minimum or calculated risk for owners
- Project analysis, development, and management in line with PM Guidelines
- Maintain an updated library for charter party (Time and Voyage Charter) clauses and respective regulatory and legal implications along with relevant cases for claims handling
- Create a workable and comprehensive archive which includes existing and potential clients, projects, charterparties and brokers
- Manage relationships with charterers
- Promote the Group through charterers and brokers with an eye for business development
- Prepare proposals and presentations in relation to the department’s chartering activities and/or forthcoming projects
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and, project management skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated and independent
- Team player and able to strategically plan
- PC literacy, including advanced knowledge in PAL, MS Office
- Readiness to travel promptly
Requirements
- University degree in law, shipping law or other relevant legal disciplines
- Minimum 2 years of work experience in shipping law, post fixture, operations or MOA execution
- To be a Member of the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers
- Fluency in written and oral English
