Phorcys Maritime Services Training Centre, established in 2020 at Limassol, aims to provide high quality Maritime Safety Training in accordance with IMO requirements and the national Laws of the Republic of Cyprus.

Phorcys mission is to deliver a range of training services in order to give seafarers opportunities to expand their knowledge, skills, and capabilities and is committed to offer training of the highest standards by experienced instructors in specially formed facilities inside the port of Limassol.
At the moment the courses offered are as follows:
- Basic Training A-VI/1 P 2.1.1.1-4 (Full and Refresher)
- Crowd Management, Familiarization and Safety Training A-V/2 P.1-4
- Skipper of Coastal passenger Vessels and
- OPRC (Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Co-operation) Level 1 and 2
Phorcys training courses have been approved by the Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus and the centre’s Quality Management System is certified under the "ISO 9001:2015”.
The faculty is composed of top-calibre instructors and high-ranking industry practitioners. The standards are high and the methods are comprehensive. The training centre’s facilities in Limassol port have been created to provide both theoretical and practical training at the same location in a professional and efficient manner.
