Offshore Monitoring Ltd is looking for a seasoned individual to spearhead the HR department with demonstrated strategic planning and leadership skills. Founded in 2007, the company is based in Cyprus, and has international partners and a global team. They specialize in maritime technologies and scientific research. They work with emerging technologies with an aim to transfer them to the maritime sector and convert them into practical platforms for the shipping industry. Offshore Monitoring Ltd has participated in 10+ large maritime R&D projects privately and co-funded by Horizon 2020/Horizon Europe for a total amount of 30+ million euros. They, along with a consortium of partners, have won a project, focused on enhancing safer navigation at Sea. Spanning 3.5 years, this project will mark the first step toward autonomous shipping. Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead a strategic hiring and employee performance plan in consultation with the management team, that delivers the company objectives
- Strategically plan and execute company expansion plans with the management team through resource and sustainable budget planning
- Lead talent management and succession planning of the resources across the company
- Work with the management team to identify and deliver organizational change/transformation plans aligned with future growth plans of the company
- Identify trends using employee experiences that can influence leadership decisions in enhancing organization culture
- Lead individual engagement, growth & development of the employees and deliver first-class human resources and employee engagement experiences
- Lead Employee Relations (ER) and create an environment for Diversity Equity and Inclusion (DE&I) within the organization
About you:
- Postgraduate/Graduate University degree in any field related to management and administration
- Exceptional knowledge of EU and UK employment law
- Demonstrated leadership in organization growth and subsequent change
- Experience of developing and executing HR strategies
- Experience of managing HR within a fast-paced dynamic and creative environment
- Excellent computer literacy (MS Project, MS Office, MS Teams etc.)
- Experience of working with advanced HR management software/systems will be considered as important advantage
- Prior experience of maritime industry/domain will be considered a plus
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, in a team and independently
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills in English language
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time management skills
- Ability to multitask and a keen eye for detail
- Ability to collaborate with a multi-lingual international team
- Analytical thinking, strategic planning and ability to problem solve and develop solutions
- Excellent interpersonal and team working skills, fast-learner and initiative-taker
