To strengthen their team in Limassol Columbia Shipmanagement is looking for an experienced and motivated Commercial Officer (ICL) to join their team.
Your tasks:
- Controlling and monitoring payments of insurance premia and/or flag registration costs
- Monitoring any discrepancies with payments and accounts to ensure proper communication within ICL department
- Assisting with Insurance Budgets and circulating such to all parties concerned
- Assisting with Insurance Quotes
- Coordinating and providing Clients with any requested financial statements and clarifications
- Coordinating the promotion/marketing of the standalone services and the overall activities of the ICL department together with the Marketing and Business Development team
- Maintaining client complaints log and initiate proposals for improvement together with ICL Management
- Assisting with data entry in relation to clients such as contact details, instructions
- Providing flag cost comparisons
- Providing Support to ICL management and assisting with special requests and /or requirements
- Maintain complete confidentiality
- Executing special project tasks in accordance with the instructions of ICL management
- Being fully conversant with the Company’s Management system
- Implementing effectively the Company’s Management system
- Contributing to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures
- Promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement and clients’ satisfaction best practices
- The Commercial Officer is accountable and reports to the Group General Manager Insurance & Legal, Group General Manager Insurance & Claims.
Your profile:
- A university degree in Shipping and/or Marketing/Business/Finance/Other relevant qualification or relevant experience in these fields
- A minimum of (2) years with the company or in a similar position in another shipping company
- Good Knowledge of Shipping
- Good Organizational/Analytical Skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Good command of the English language
- Creative thinking and growth mind-set
- Ability to work within a team
- Strong Communication Skills
