Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist and support the technical superintendents in organising, coordinating, monitoring, and following up on fleet’s class records and various outstanding items, defect reports, repairs, and arranging attendances for onboard services, surveys, and inspections (external providers, service stations, etc.).
  • Ensure the Vessel Certificates Module is maintained up to date.
  • Follow up with Flag Administration for Authorisations, Exemptions, and other matters.
  • Verify and process management systems records produced or held by the department.
    Arrange documentation delivery to the vessels and ensure records are maintained up to date.
  • Ensure the Vessel Inspection Module is maintained up to date.
  • Ensure systems are maintained for recording non-conformities and corrective and preventive actions. In addition, actively support the prompt implementation of corrective actions and learnings.
  • Perform the complete purchasing process, from receipt of the requisition until delivery of the ordered goods and services.
  • Maintain records and databases through filing, retrieval, retention, storage, compilation, coding, and updating.
  • Perform general administrative duties as required.
  • Lead by example.
  • Monitor areas of responsibility and communicate any potential issues.
  • Any other reasonable duties as defined by the role and management.

Minimum Qualification & Experience Required:

  • Naval Architect or Marine Engineer Degree.
  • 0 - 3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Clean Criminal Record.

Competencies:

  • Proficient in English.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office and AUTOCAD.
  • Proactive with independent working skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, including multitasking and time management.
