This position is responsible for assisting in all operations of Petronav Maritime Limited (PML) inside the port of Limassol including its business development and all PML activities relating to the training center, warehouse, logistics as well as inhouse and third-party workshop repair and maintenance requirements. The position also assists in Research & Development (R&D) projects in which PML is involved or projects which PML wishes to pursue.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in all PML's operations ensuring effective and efficient running of the company.
  • Coordinates all PML-related activities and liaises with all relevant internal and external parties as required.
  • Liaises with other departments of Petronav Ship Management (PSL) as needed i.e.  Technical, Accounting, Purchasing, Agency, Crewing etc. in handling daily operational activities of the vessels.
  • Handles various tasks relating to Petronav Ship Management (PSL) dry dock projects as well as vessel upgrades, repair & maintenance projects.
  • Supports the daily operations of the company as requested by the Development Operations Engineer and Technical Manager.
  • Assists towards PML's business development by identifying and supporting new growth opportunities.
  • Assists in the preparation and supervision of PML budget and monitors actuals vs budgeted expenses.
  • Assists in the management of company's R&D projects which include but not limited to:
    • Proposes and undertakes various projects that may be of interest to the company to undertake/participate in.
    • Executes the tasks/responsibilities allocated to the company immersing by each project.
    • Handles tasks relating to R&D projects such as attending meetings, communication, acting as company's representative as required etc.
    • Liaises with national and international stakeholders, as may be deemed necessary.
    • Reports progress of each project to the Management.
    • Visiting PSL vessels as needed.
    • Implementing Company's Management System and proposes any changes in the area of his/her responsibilities.

Required Qualifications/Competencies:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification from a tertiary institution recognized within a relevant field of engineering or physical science (minimum three years program), or a qualification from a suitable marine or nautical institution.
  • Previous experience in a similar position.
  • Possess a strong sense of ethics and accountability.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong English and Greek language communication skills, both written and verbal.
