We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Operations Director to join our client and lead the operations team in Cyprus. The Operations Director will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimising maritime operations, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with industry standards. This is a leadership position that requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in maritime operations.

The role
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the operations team.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of maritime operations, including vessel management, crewing, safety, and maintenance.
- Develop and implement efficient and cost-effective operational processes and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with international maritime regulations and standards.
- Collaborate with other departments, including finance and sales, to achieve company objectives.
- Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Manage budgets and resources effectively to achieve operational goals.
- Identify and mitigate operational risks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Maritime Studies, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in maritime operations, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of international maritime regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement operational strategies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation abilities.
