Job Position Summary
An exciting and challenging opportunity has arisen for a Product Manager to lead product design across our PARIS ecosystem (covering both operational and analytics platforms). This role is a key part of Fleet’s focus to develop leading digital capability to enhance and improve our platforms deployed on 650+ vessels.
The successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside stakeholders to define the overall product strategy. The role involves managing the product team and working with our in-house development team to then ensure user stories/requirements for products are fit for purpose and drive product adoption across Fleet.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Monitor planning and progress of VIR inspections and Engineering Audits of managed vessels, highlighting to the Deputy GM where action is required. 3 VIR per vessel per year (2 in port / 1 sailing) plus 1 Engineering Audit.
- Monitor the compliance readiness of allocated vessels in defect and deficiency management and vessel certification. This includes correct data entry in PARIS for Conditions of Class, Conditions of Authority and Flag Dispensations.
- Ensure all vessels have complete Inventory management and update monthly in Component code 100
- Monitor the compliance readiness of allocated vessels in technical reports, including Lubricating Oil analysis, Fuel Oil Analysis, water analysis testing and safety equipment status monthly.
- To be an advocate of PARIS and ensure it is properly utilized within the office and onboard.
- Provide ship management performance data to customers upon request.
- Data input and relevant documentation coordination, filing and perform other duties as required.
- Collate EU ETS data for customers upon request.
- Provide support to Technical team as required.
Job Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in shipping
- Fluency in written and oral English
- Excellent word processing and IT skills, including knowledge of a range of software packages (MS Word, Excel, Power Point)
- Good oral and written communication skills – the ability to communicate well at all level
