Due to growth, we are seeking a Purchasing Officer for our Head Quarters here in Limassol, Cyprus. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, well-respected and dynamic company.
Main Duties & Responsibilities
- Forward requisitions to approved suppliers for proposals and quotations.
- Checking and assessing prices of individual items and taking up cooperation with suppliers.
- Presenting final quotations received from suppliers to assigned superintendent for approval.
- Entering estimated costs in AMOS Purchasing module.
- Placing final orders to suppler.
- Ensuring all items are supplied cost-effectively and in timely manner.
- Keeping forwarders, agents and Master informed about movement of consignments.
- Ensuring vessels are kept updated about the status of deliveries.
Your Profile
- A higher education diploma/Degree, together with at least 2 years previous experience in sales/purchasing or a similar role.
- Very good command of the English language. Greek language skills highly desirable.
- Basic knowledge of budget and cost control.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and research skills.
- Commitment to work, if needed, also at irregular hours.
