Due to growth, TMS Group is seeking a Purchasing Officer for their Head Quarters in Limassol, Cyprus. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable, well-respected, and dynamic company.
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
· Ensure all items are delivered cost-effectively and within the agreed deadlines.
· Submit final quotations, received from suppliers, to the assigned vessel superintendent for approval.
· Review vessel requisitions.
· Evaluate prices of individual items and collaborate with suppliers.
· Keep forwarders, agents, and the Master updated on consignment movements.
· Keep vessels informed about the status of deliveries.
· Prepare supplier comparison reports, benchmark suppliers, and record supplier performances.
· Enter estimated costs into the company purchasing system.
· Forward requisitions to approved suppliers for proposals and quotations.
· Place confirmed orders with suppliers.
· Report to the Fleet Supervisor.
Requirements:
· At least 3 years of previous experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain management is required.
· Fluent in English and Greek, both written and spoken.
· Bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related field would be an advantage.
· Strong knowledge of procurement processes, contract negotiation, and supplier management.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Attention to detail and ability to work with numerical data.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication and negotiation skills.
· Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
