Job Objective:

Develops and upon approval executes the catering supply schedule to the ships assigned and coordinates with all relevant parties for the timely and cost efficient satisfaction of client needs and meet of contractual agreements.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develops the catering plans for all vessels assigned according to contracts provided and monitors their accurate and timely execution, for the satisfaction of client needs and protection of company’s brand name.
  • Liaises with ships’ Masters to identify catering needs and resolve any potential relevant implication or complaint, thus enabling the satisfaction of their needs and improvement of client services according to processes, procedures and quality standards
  • Keeps record of all client complaints and proposes modifications to relevant processes and procedures, in order to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of catering services.
  • Provides guidance to all parties for the satisfaction of client catering needs and monitors that all relevant terms in the contracts are executed on time and properly, thus enhancing client satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitors on a monthly basis the accurate execution of the catering budget for all vessels assigned, identifies and reports any potential discrepancies, updates the company’s P&L reporting system and informs accordingly his/her supervisor, in order to provide the required information for management decisions.
  • Proposes solutions and improvements for the compliance of the P&L report with the budget and upon approval proceeds to their implementation.
  • Monitors and keeps record of the assigned vessels consumption rates, in order to adjust accordingly the catering plans and generate information for the modification and improvement of contracts.
  • Coordination with various CSC in regards to briefings, interview schedules, paper based test and telephonic interviews of catering staff. Coordinating for trainings for catering staff at various MTC.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Degree in Hotel Management.
  • Experience in similar position and industry will be considered as an advantage.

Job-Specific Skills:

  • Minimum previous similar experience of 2 years in maritime catering and victualing management
  • Knowledge of food ingredients and various food habits worldwide.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
