Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Investment Analyst (m/f/d) to join our Innoport team. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in innovation within the maritime industry and possess the analytical skills necessary to evaluate potential investment opportunities. This role is perfect for a proactive individual with a background in finance, business, or a related field, looking to grow their career in venture capital, specifically within the maritime industry.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough market research and industry analysis to identify trends and emerging technologies within the maritime sector.
- Assist in sourcing and evaluating potential investment opportunities, including startups and early-stage companies.
- Perform due diligence, including financial analysis, competitive landscape assessment, and risk evaluation.
- Prepare detailed investment memos, presentations, and reports for the Innoport team and senior management.
- Monitor and track the performance of portfolio companies, providing ongoing support and analysis.
- Assess the financial health of portfolio companies.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to drive the strategic goals of Innoport.
- Stay updated on industry developments, regulatory changes, and technological advancements impacting the maritime industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Fluency in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience, which may include internships, in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate finance.
- Strong analytical skills and experience in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
- Demonstrated interest in innovation and technology within the maritime industry.
- Experience within the shipping industry is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and strong organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of the maritime industry and related technologies.
- Experience with market research and competitive analysis.
- Familiarity with venture capital and investment processes.
