Overall Purpose of The Job

To assess, monitor, and enhance business performance for the merchant fleet operations.
To analyse current practices and develop business process improvements as well as recommend and implement changes in workflows, structures, and teams to ensure continuous company performance.

To ensure the delivery of consistent performance by all teams across all locations aiming at achieving the targeted crew victualing rates established with clients and ensuring flawless service that meets/exceeds client expectations.

To liaise with Senior Management on regular basis for alignment on areas of major importance.

Key Responsibilities and Tasks

• To analyze the company processes and procedures.
• To develop process enhancement strategies.
• To investigate shortfalls, issues, and complaints in current business processes.
• To establish norms and standards of company performance.
• To monitor staff performance and organizational processes.
• To collaborate with other stakeholders to enhance productivity and staff satisfaction.
• To communicate ideas and opinions to other members of management.
• To manage staff cohorts and teams of various sizes.
• To stay up-to-date with developments in management and process optimization.
• To assist in the development and implementation of victualing standards, policies and procedures in coordination with the Head of Department
• To assist in the development and implementation of quality standards, policies and procedures in coordination with the Head of department
• To train, mentor, and guide team members in new processes.
• To travel across Oceanic offices in order to provide hands on support and guidance.
• To ensure that the appropriate training of the staff is undertaken.
• To communicate interoffice issues as required.

Essential

• At least three years' experience in process optimization, operations, or business management.
• Experience in developing and implementing operational procedures and manuals.
• Experience with implementation of operational budgets.
• Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
• Sound understanding of finance and possess good analytical skills.
• Strong computer skills.
• The highest personal integrity standards.
• Leadership and mentoring skills.
• Excellent command of the English language both written and oral.
• Willing to travel.

Desirable

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study.
