Dromon Bureau of Shipping Ltd (www.dromon.com), an International Classification Society and an EU accredited Verification & Validation body, is seeking the employment of an Environmental Officer to support its consultancy activities on EU MRV, UK MRV, IMO DCS & CII, CSI and ISO 14064-1,2.
Major Duties:
The Environmental Officer shall have the following responsibilities:
- Prepare of Monitoring Plans/Manuals and GHG emission reports in accordance with EU-MRV, UK-MRV, IMO DCS & CII, CSI and ISO 14064-1,2 schemes.
- Liaise with Verification Bodies for the approval of Monitoring Plans/Manuals and the verification of emissions.
- Support clients with inquiries related to the compliance with EU-MRV, UKMRV, IMO DCS & CII, CSI and ISO 14064-1,2 schemes.
- Support users of Environmental software platform.
- Maintain up to date records in the Environmental software platform.
- Activly promote services to acquire new business.
- Prompt and accurate reporting.
Minimum Qualifications and Skills:
- University Degree in Shipping related studies or equivalent.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work under pressure.
- To be competent in English language commensurate with future work.
- Decision making, pragmatic approach.
- Organizational skills.
- Ability to adhere to deadlines.
- Computer literate.
Nice to have:
- Proficiency in Arabic will be considered as an advantage for this role.
- Experience working in the maritime industry involved in GHG emissions or other technical and/or quality related items.
- Knowledge of and experience in GHG emissions monitoring and reporting aspects.
