Columbia Shipmanagement is seeking to recruit a Crewing Fleet Manager in Limassol, Cyprus.
The Crewing Fleet Manager shall have the following qualifications:
- Seagoing experience as an officer, or a university degree and experience in the maritime industry of not less than five years;
- Good leadership and communication skills;
- Good command of the English language;
- To be fully conversant with applicable international and national rules and regulations.
The Crewing Fleet Manager is responsible for:
- Ensuring that activities are well planned, organized and safeguards established against all identified risks;
- Implementing and maintaining Company’s Management System;
- Being fully conversant with the Company’s Management System;
- Implementing effectively the Company’s Management System;
- Contributing to the development of new or the amendment of existing procedures;
- Promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement;
- Ensuring that non-conformities, observations and customer complaints (internal or external) are investigated and timely followed-up;
- Promoting awareness for customer requirements;
- Representing the Crewing Department in the Company’s Emergency Response Team and being conversant with assigned duties in case of an emergency;
- Review and analyse crew performance (operational & behavioural) trends and recommend actions to support continuous improvement;
- Monitor the manpower supply sufficiency as well as Officers and Cadets career progression & development;
- Supervising the crewing activities related to new ships entering management or ships leaving management and ensuring the proper communication with the customers;
- Overseeing the daily operations of the of the assigned Fleet;
- Ensuring that crewing operations are executed according to Clients agreed budgets and apply efficient cost management control;
- Provide guidance to the departmental staff, when required, and opportunities for their continuous professional development;
- Execute any other tasks assigned by the Director Crewing Operations.
The Crewing Fleet Manager reports and is accountable to the Group Director Crewing Operations and to the Top Management as required.
