(www.MaritimeCyprus.com) The "Supply Chain Management and Maritime Studies" program at MIEEK recently hosted a heartfelt appreciation dinner honoring the invaluable contributions of its sponsors and supporters. The event featured a delectable meal prepared and served by MIEEK students from the Culinary Arts, showcasing the institution's commitment to practical, hands-on learning experiences.

All guests were positively impressed - not only by the professionalism and hospitality of the students, but also by the warm, collegial atmosphere that reflected the program's dedication to excellence and collaboration. It was an evening filled with gratitude, meaningful connections, and a shared vision for the future of maritime education in Cyprus.

Established under the Cyprus Ministry of Education, Sports, and Youth, MIEEK offers twelve accredited, tuition-free, two-year programs aimed at equipping students with specialized vocational skills tailored to the evolving demands of the economy. The "Supply Chain Management and Maritime Studies" program stands out for its strong industry connections, exemplified by its advisory board comprising esteemed organizations such as the Cyprus Shipping Chamber, the Limassol Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (Cyprus branch).

The program caters to a diverse student body, including industry professionals seeking formal qualifications, individuals aiming for retraining, and recent high school graduates. Classes are conducted in the evenings to accommodate working students, and the curriculum includes a twelve-week internship, providing practical exposure and facilitating smooth entry into the labor market.

Beyond the classroom, the program actively engages in extracurricular activities to enrich student learning. Notable initiatives include panel discussions on pertinent topics like "Blue Growth: A Challenge for the Environment," competitions for high school students under the auspices of the Cyprus Shipping Deputy Ministry, and research competitions for enrolled students.

The recent appreciation dinner not only celebrated the collaborative efforts of sponsors and supporters but also underscored MIEEK's dedication to fostering strong industry relationships and providing students with real-world experiences. Such events highlight the program's holistic approach to education, blending academic rigor with practical application, and preparing graduates to excel in the dynamic fields of supply chain management and maritime studies.

Commemorative plaques were skilfully created by the CNC Technology students and were awarded to representatives from the Shipping Deputy Ministry of Cyprus, Cyprus Shipping Chamber, Limassol Chamber of Commerce & Industry, Cyprus Ports Authority, CIM - Cyprus Business School, Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (Cyprus Branch), YoungShip Cyprus, Island Oil, Salamis Organization, Lemissoler Navigation Co Ltd, L.
