This is an amazing opportunity for an Assistant HR Shore Officer to join our Human Resources department, which is a key part of the workplace responsible for the strategic management and development of our employees, in line with business needs, ensuring that all policies are implemented correctly and effectively. Job Objective:
Supports the HR Shore Manager/Officer, with administrative duties in order to facilitate the smooth operation of the department.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Assists the HR Shore Manager/Officer in administrative duties pertaining to recruitment and selection practices, employment contracts, training, and performance management.
  • Creates, maintains and updates the HR department archives and SMC personnel databases (such as medical, insurance, annual leave schedules, certificates, job profiles etc.), contributing to the effective use of information for accurate decision making on personnel issues of the company.
  • Assists the HR Shore Manager/Officer in the production of data and statistics required by group HRS.
  • Assists with the preparation of immigration documentation for non-local employees.
  • Assists with hospitality and travel arrangements for visiting colleagues and clients.

Requirements

Education & Work Experience: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR Management and/or relevant degree.
  • At least 1 - 2 years in a relevant position.

Job Specific Skills:

  • Good knowledge of HR processes, procedures and systems.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of current Labour Law.
  • Ability to prioritise and organise tasks.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Teamwork and cooperation.
  • Fluency in English.
  • PC literacy.
