Safe Bulkers Management LTD, a well established shipping company based in Limassol, due to fleet expansion, is looking for a Superintendent Engineer ensuring technical excellence and adherence to the Company’s standards and statutory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the technical performance of assigned vessels, ensuring compliance with Company policies and international regulations.
- Monitor and manage planned maintenance systems and ensure timely repairs and dry-dockings.
- Provide guidance and support to onboard engineering teams, promoting operational excellence and safety.
- Liaise with suppliers, service providers, and shipyards to ensure cost-effective technical operations.
- Conduct inspections and audits of vessels to ensure compliance with IMS, ISM Code, and industry best practices.
- Implement corrective actions and preventive measures for technical issues and deficiencies.
- Report technical performance, incidents, and maintenance progress to senior management.
- Assist in budget preparation and control for vessel technical operations.
Qualifications
- Degree in Marine Engineering or related field.
- Chief Engineer license or equivalent shore-based experience.
- Commitment to upholding the Company’s Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
