Olympia Ocean Carriers Ltd is currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Accounting Officer to support their Finance and Corporate Services Department. This is an excellent opportunity to build a career in a fast-paced, international environment with a well-established shipping group.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily bookkeeping.
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission VAT and VIES reports.
  • Conducting monthly reconciliations for suppliers, customers, and banks.
  • Maintaining the cash book and other required financial analysis updated on a daily basis.
  • Preparing and assisting with the execution of daily payment runs in line with approved procedures.
  • Communicating and liaising with other departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Daily collaboration with the Finance Manager and or CFO for ad-hoc engagements and administration of the finance and corporate department.

Required Qualifications:

  • University/College degree in accounting or a related field.
  • Experience with Navision / Dynamics 365 Business Central will be considered an advantage.
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping and generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Excellent command of English and Greek, both written and spoken.
  • Strong computer skills, especially in Microsoft Excel and Word.
