(www.MaritimeCyprus.com) The geopolitical stability of the Middle East was irreversibly compromised between February 28 and March 1, 2026, following the execution of Operation Epic Fury, a joint United States-Israeli military campaign that resulted in the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. This event triggered an immediate asymmetric response from IRGC (Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps) forces, culminating in the kinetic strike against the Palau-flagged tanker Skylight approximately 5 nautical miles north of Khasab Port off Oman’s Musandam peninsula.

Following this ongoing situation in Iran and the Middle East, the Joint War Committee has revised the JWC Listed Areas with new version JWLA-033.
