Uniteam Marine is an international ship management organisation that provides industry-leading services to ship owners and ship managers across a wide range of countries and jurisdictions.
With immediate effect, we are looking for a Procurement Manager to be based at our office in Limassol, Cyprus.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops, leads and executes purchasing strategies
- Reviews and processes purchase orders
- Manages and lead members of the procurement team
- Maintains records of goods ordered and received
- Builds and maintains relationships with vendors
- Selects prospective vendors and assists with negotiations for contracts or fleet agreements as required via a tender process
- Evaluates vendors based on quality, timeliness and price, among other variables
- Researches and evaluates vendors to compare pricing and services
- Coordinates with the vessels to monitor inventory and determine supply requirements
- Ensures quality of procured items and addresses problems when they arise
- Keeps up with trends in procurement and assist with future budgeting
- Develops existing procurement procedures
- Develops and manage procurement teams KPI’s
Job Requirements
- University degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration preferred
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience and working within a third-party technical management environment is preferred. Supervisory experience is also preferential
- Ability and experience to solve problems
- Excellent command of spoken and written English
- Computer proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, communication (e.g., Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
