The Ship Operator is expected to coordinate the day-to-day operational activities, liaising with Ship Masters, external agents and Marine Technical Superintendents etc to ensure efficient commercial operation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Undertake voyage planning to meet international regulation and respond to vessel issues
• Handle bunkers optimisation
• Review stowage planning
• Coordinate Agency appointments
• Provide Voyage Orders to vessels
• Monitor vessels performance during all voyages ie speed and consumptions
• Handle questionnaires, certificates, LOI’s and all relevant supporting docs
• Update company’s software with required data
• Liaise with customers (internal and external) on cargo readiness, vessel schedules etc
• Optimise utilisation of resources.
• Prepare ship position updates.Abilities, Experience and Qualifications:

• Suitable candidates will hold a minimum 1-2 years of experience in the same position
• Reefer logistics experience preferred
• Good knowledge of Charter Party terms
• Fluent speak/written English language and IT system literacy
• Extremely strong communication skills / quantitative abilities
• Strong business acumen and has a commercial approach
• Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced, high-pressure environment
• Capable of negotiating firmly but politely with international customers
• Suitable candidates will hold a minimum 1-2 years of experience in the same position
