Osterreichischer Lloyd is seeking a Marine Superintendent - Dry Ops to join their expanding Bulk Carrier Fleet. The role entails providing operational support to ensure safe, efficient Dry Cargo Operations of assigned vessels.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee daily Dry Cargo Operations for assigned vessels, ensuring safety and efficiency.
- Coordinate with the Technical department on cargo and cornmercial matters.
- Conduct shipboard inspections and supervise cargo operations as needed.
- Provide training to crew on dry cargo operations and relevant procedures.
- Monitor compliance witl1 Ballast Water Management regulations.
- Manage communication with Owners, Charterers. and P& I Club regarding cargo and marine operations.
- Assist i1n investigations related to cargo, navigation and mooring.
- Ensure compliance with IMO. Flag State. and Port State regulations.
- Identify process improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Collaborate w1tl1 Quality ream on Continuous Improvement proJects.
- Establish performance expectations and update SOPs in coordination with management.
- Promote a positive safety culture and ensure compliance with health safety and environmental policies.
- Set clear goals for vessel crew and provide leadership and mentorship.
- Develop and maintain talent pool through performance management and coaching.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor Degree/ Diploma in Navigation or equivalent.
- Certificates of Competency Il/2 ( for Masters// Chief Officers).
- Min. 3 yrs experience as a master on relevant vessel type.
