DP World is currently looking for a Health, Safety and Environment Manager for our port in Limassol, you will be a member of the leadership team of DP World Limassol and manage the HSE team. Limassol is a multi purpose port that covers break- bulk, general cargo, oil & gas services as well as a brand new cruise terminal. This means that this role will cover a number of different disciplines and will require all of your skills to manage the complex health and safety issues.
You will investigate any issues of pollution, accidents at work, noise control, toxic contamination, pest infestations, food poisoning and waste management. As this is a multi purpose terminal it does mean that risks need to be mitigated and they could come from a variety of sources. The terminal is experiencing a period of growth and you will be expected to manage and work with the changes as they come through.
You will need to manage, provide direction and have the development opportunities to allow the HSE team to progress within their roles.
You will also be maintaining the management system certification including ISO 14001, OHSAS 18801 (ISO 45001) and ISO 9001. As part of the leadership team reporting to the CEO of the terminal you will be expected to provide continuous business process improvement and be a leader within your workplace.
We are open to individuals who are happy to relocate to Limassol.
The person
So who are we looking for?
- Previous experience of managing a HSE function within the energy/ oil & gas industry
- A strong understanding of relevant EU and Cypriot HSE legislation and certification
- A fantastic people leader who is seen as inspiring motivator
- Fluency in verbal and written Greek would be beneficial
- The ability to manage and challenge key stakeholders around current practices and processes
