Job Overview:
They are seeking a skilled and experienced Chartering Manager to join their team. As a Chartering Manager, you will be responsible for managing the company's shipping chartering activities, which include negotiating vessel charter contracts, managing vessel schedules, and overseeing cargo operations. The ideal candidate should have a successful Chartering background in dry cargo.
What you’ll be doing:
- Negotiate vessel charter contracts and manage relationships with industry partners
- Manage vessel schedules and optimize cargo loading plans to maximize vessel utilization
- Oversee cargo operations to ensure safe, efficient, and timely delivery of cargo to customers
- Monitor market conditions and industry trends to identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to maximize profits
- Collaborate with other departments such as finance, legal, and operations to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on vessel performance and cargo volumes
Qualifications / Requirements :
- Bachelor's degree in maritime transportation, logistics, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in chartering or a related field
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to build and maintain strong relationships with industry partners
- Knowledge of vessel operations, cargo handling, and international trade regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent verbal and written proficiency in English
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Desire to work in a fast-paced team environment
- Highest ethical approach
- Knowledge of Russian is a big plus
