Vacancy: Business Development Officer, Prevention at Sea Ltd, Larnaca, Cyprus

Prevention at Sea Ltd is looking for an ambitious Business Development Officer to become a member of their team. Prevention at Sea is an LR ISO 9001 multi-awarded marine risk assessment company that offers maritime services for quality assurance as well as maritime software products with the aim to ensure fleet management optimization and
data-driven decision-making via paperless ship logs/records and big data analytics.

Essential role Responsibilities:

• Develops contact and client relations to maintain business continuity of our company
• Seeks potential opportunities for the company and pursue potential clients, spots new growth opportunities, and works to build the company’s exposure and brand
• Propose marketing and sales strategies, tactics and action plans to generate new clientele
• Develop and execute strategic plan to achieve sales targets
• Prepare quotations for clients
• Prepare invoices and quotes in accordance with company guidelines and policy
• Coordinates the whole process of client contact and communication: from initial contact to business presentations and proposals for clients and to final agreement processes
• Attend trade shows, industry associations, job fairs and events that promote the company’s presence in the shipping market

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of 4-5 years of relevant experience in Sales
• Maritime/Shipping experience will be considered a plus
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Excellent command of the English language
• Initiative and self-motivation, results-focused
• Excellent communication skills: Interpersonal and presentational skills

Nice to have:

• BD in Sales/Marketing/Business Administration or other relative field, including Maritime/Shipping studies
• Previous experience in Sales and Shipping
• Passion and drive for supporting our clients
• Eager to learn and continuously improve
• Able to work effectively as part of a team
